"I was having trouble finding Victor and Emma Olson in the 1930 Census. I tried lots of places searching with the surnames Olson and Olsen, but no hits. Tonight I searched using only first names Victor with spouse Emma and left out the surname. I searched Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan. There were a 100 or so Victor/spouse Emma combinations. Bingo, I found them. They had been indexed as Alson not Olson and they were in Flint, Michigan." - Chuck Henrikson
